Design a schema for 'who follows whom' at scale - fast lookups in both directions, many relationship types in one store.

Design the schema for a social graph store (modeled on Meta's TAO): the same storage backs many different relationship types - follows, friendships, blocks - and lookups need to be fast in both directions: a user's followers, and who a user follows. No architecture diagram or API design required.
